TD Cultural Tuesdays invite you to a participatory workshop on the alternative and experimental practices of publishing with Possibles Éditions and the collective Les Eaux de roche! For the occasion, the visitors will be invited to discover a laboratory of social bonds inside which will be performed, live, all the stages of production of a small book: from the writing to the binding, including the layout and printing on offset press. All will have the chance to leave with a single copy, a material trace of this ceremony.
Each hour will ring the bell of a new step in the circuit. With the dance of machines and bodies, will be added those of contemporary dancers from the collective Eaux de roche, leaves and pages, words, images and thoughts, hopes and affects.
ABOUT - POSSIBLES EDITIONS
Bringing together authors, graphic artists, illustrators, press operators, bookbinders and more, Possibles Éditions is a place of exploration that offers a variety of forms under which the book can materialize. The collective encourages the involvement of the authors by offering them to participate in all stages of the production of the book, from the cover to the size of the paper. In their recent books, there is the book Terre de Trickster (2017), Un souffle interminable (2015) by Myche Siguineau, La Jenkins, récits de graffitis dans le Sud-Ouest de Montréal (2015) by Vincent Tourigny, and Y paraît (2015) under the direction of Jocelyn Lebeau.
ABOUT - LES EAUX DE ROCHE
An interdisciplinary team of women, combining dance, visual arts and literature in a process of sensationalization of texts, and poetic and visual rewritings inspired by various voices from Quebec culture. Les Eaux de roche are Émilie Allard, Ariane Dessaulles, Laurence Dufour, Stéphanie Dufresne and Karine Théorêt.
ABOUT - TD CULTURAL TUESDAYS
The purpose of the TD Cultural Tuesdays is to bring contemporary visual art into dialogue with other artistic practices. From 6 to 9, these gatherings take the form of events allowing the convergence of different audiences in a friendly atmosphere.
