As part of the TD Cultural Tuesdays 2018 - Focus : Dance & Creative Research, Arsenal Contemporary Art, in collaboration with Danse Danse and TD Bank Group, invites you to discover Tentacle Tribe’s creative process with an exploration of material for their new production, GHOST.

At the intersection of contemporary dance, street dancing and martial arts, Tentacle Tribe’s free spirit creates a gestural metaphor for breathing in all of its subtle inflections. Inhalations and exhalations shape the group’s movements and flow. The interconnected bodies form striking human structures that move, transmutate and evolve in synergy with music. The vivifying power of the breath and its circulation in the organism is magnified in this vigorous, almost architectural dance. Turning technical virtuosity into dreamlike flights, GHOST is a blast of fresh air.

ABOUT -  TENTACLE TRIBE

The Montreal-based company brings to the stage the two choreographers’ collective experience, with a shift towards unconventional contemporary dance, derived from hip-hop concepts and certain terrestrial creatures’ influences.
