In collaboration with Danse Danse and TD Bank Group, Arsenal Contemporary Art Montreal invites you to a TD Cultural Tuesday - Focus : Dance & Creative Research dedicated to the presentation of Van Grimde Corps Secrets and La Otra Orilla’s explorations.
These two dance troupes will be in residency in our spaces during one week which will end with this TD Cultural Tuesday. This residency takes place as part of OFF-CINARS, a branch of the 2018 edition of the CINARS Biennale, an international event showcasing the performing arts.
EVE 2050 by Van Grimde Corps Secrets
With a transdisciplinary approach to the dancing body, Van Grimde Corps Secrets’ creations enrich themselves with the contributions of different artistic and scientific disciplines and deliver a plural vision of the body, rooted in its time. Eve 2050: L’installation, second part of the triptych Eve 2050, engages an artistic, aesthetic and ethical reflection with the public on the evolution of the human being and the body in the age of the digital, the biomedical advances and artificial intelligence. Captured and transformed in real time, bodies of the past, present and future unite themselves in a dance where the lived and the virtual interweave to become indiscernible. The enchanted space of the installation bathes the visitors in an intimate and poetic experience placing their own body at the center of the story.
MAGNETIKAE by La Otra Orilla
This year, La Otra Orilla is working on a new opus, a creation for four performers - a dancer, a singer, a pianist and a percussionist. Myriam Allard and Hedi Graja provoke the convergence of two diametrically opposed worlds: that of a language, the flamenco, and an imaginary, the floe. With this new proposal, the iconoclastic duo settles a visual environment, acoustic references and eloquent emotional colors.
RESIDENCY SCHEDULE
Van Grimde Corps Secrets and La Otra Orilla will be in a creation residency from November 10th to 17th, 2018 in our exhibition spaces.
Wednesday to Friday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

ABOUT - TD CULTURAL TUESDAYS
The purpose of the TD Cultural Tuesdays is to bring contemporary visual art into dialogue with other artistic practices. From 6 to 9, these gatherings take the form of events allowing the convergence of different audiences in a friendly atmosphere.
